Connecting Your Hostinger Domain to Shopify: A Step-by-Step Guide

To connect your Hostinger domain to Shopify, you’ll need to access both your Hostinger and Shopify dashboards. First, in your Shopify admin, navigate to Settings in the bottom left corner, then select Domains in the left-hand column. You’ll see your default Shopify domain. To add your Hostinger domain, click on Connect existing domain.

Back in your Hostinger control panel, locate the domain you want to connect and click on Manage. Next, you’ll need to adjust your DNS records. It’s recommended to delete all existing DNS records to avoid conflicts.

Now, let’s add the new DNS records for Shopify. First, add an A record. In the Name field, leave it blank or enter the @ symbol. In the IP Address field, enter 23.227.38.65. Keep the default TTL value and click Add record.

Next, add an AAAA record. Similar to the A record, in the Name field, leave it blank or enter the @ symbol. In the IP Address field, enter 23.227.38.65. Click Add record.

Finally, add a CNAME record. In the Name field, enter www. In the Target field, enter shops.myshopify.com. (note the period at the end). Click Add record.

Once you’ve finished adding the DNS records in Hostinger, return to Shopify and enter your Hostinger domain in the Connect existing domain field. Click Next. Shopify will automatically verify the connection.

If successful, your Hostinger domain will be connected to your Shopify store. You can verify this by opening your domain in a new browser. The connection process may take some time to fully propagate.
